Who Wrote That Book Wednesday: J.A. Redmerski

You can follow the rules or you can follow your heart...THE MOMENT OF LETTING GO

Sienna Murphy never does anything without a plan. And so far her plans have been working. Right after college, she got a prestigious job and gained the stability she'd always craved-until work takes her to the sun-drenched shores of Oahu and places her in the path of sexy surfer Luke Everett. For the first time, she lets her heart take control. Drawn to his carefree charm, she makes a spontaneous and very un-Sienna-like decision to drop everything and stay in Hawaii for two more weeks.

Luke lives fast and wild. When he meets Sienna, he's convinced that some no-strings-attached fun is just what she needs. As their nights quickly turn from playful to passionate, Luke can't deny the deep connection he feels. But there's a reason Luke doesn't do long-term. He can't promise Sienna forever, when the enormity of his past has shown him just how fragile the future can be . . .

Bio:

J.A. (Jessica Ann) Redmerski is a New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author and award winner who juggles several different genres; a hybrid author who, in addition to working with a traditional publisher, also continues to self-publish.

Things on Jessica’s wish list are to conquer her long list of ridiculous fears, find a shirt she actually likes, and travel the world with a backpack and a partner-in-crime. What book is Jessica most proud to have written? It’s a question she gets asked quite often. The answer is, hands down DIRTY EDEN. “DIRTY EDEN was an entirely organic experience for me, as was the story from beginning to end; nothing was planned, and I didn’t know the end myself until I got there. As much as I enjoy writing love stories and crime novels, a big part of my heart really does lie in the satirical and strange. I just wish more people would read it.”

Interview

-What is one thing that people do not know about you?

I'm a huge fan and supporter of indie music. In the MySpace days I found so many fantastic indie bands and musicians, and I kind of miss that. I tend to enjoy indie music more than the mainstream stuff - it's more organic and unique, and you feel the hard work put into it by the musicians. Also, I'm fascinated - obsessed - with the Universe and all things physics and astronomy.

-What do you think people will love most about this book?

I think readers will connect with THE MOMENT OF LETTING GO a lot easier than they did with SONG OF THE FIREFLIES because the story and characters are more in THE EDGE OF NEVER vein; Luke and Sienna are warm and funny a lot like Camryn and Andrew were.

-Who is THE ONE Author that makes you fangirl?

Currently I would have to say Paullina Simons, author of THE BRONZE HORSEMAN trilogy.

-What is your most favorite book that you have read?

It's impossible for me to choose one. I'd have to say THE BRONZE HORSEMAN trilogy by Paullina Simons, THE VAMPIRE ARMAND by Anne Rice, NEVERWHERE by Neil Gaiman and THE ROAD by Cormac McCarthy.

-What television shows do you watch the most?

I LOVE television! I'm a binge watcher. My favorites are The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones and Vikings.

-Name one thing in your life that you would like to do that you haven’t done.

I would love to travel the world with a backpack and a partner-in-crime.

-What is your favorite movie of all time?

Fight Club

-What is your favorite genre of music to listen to?

Rock

-If you had to play a theme song each morning what would it be?

Anything with Layne Staley on vocals - Mad Season, Alice in Chains.

His head tells him he wants nothing more than friendship from her, but his heart soon proves to have other ideas. The problem with that is Bianca makes it abundantly clear she wants nothing more than friendship from him.

I have an unhealthy addiction to books, I love to read them, live them and write them. I love books that are full of angst, heartbreak and breathtaking romance, tragedy, everyday issues and not-so-everyday fantasies. I love swoon-worthy bad boys and hot and steamy sex scenes, edge-of-your-seat drama, twists, turns and surprises. And most importantly, happily-ever-afters!

Author Interview

-What do you think people will love most about this book?
It’s real - these are people you can relate to, they have everyday issues.  All of the characters are a little flawed, have the insecurities we all have, and a little silly and fun.  Oh, and word on the street is, the sexy scenes are quite steamy.

-How do get ideas for your books?
They come from everywhere really.  I might overhear a conversation, or one of my kids will say something, that I’ll twist around in my head to make it fit my characters.  Sometimes there are little pieces of me; something that has occurred in my life that are the basis of an idea.  Music is also a huge inspiration.  There are so many wonderful stories in songs!

-Who is THE ONE Author that makes you fangirl?
Colleen Hoover is totally my favourite author, not just for what she writes (though I do love all of her books!) but because of what she has achieved, how down-to-earth and fun she is, and all of what she has done with The Bookworm Box and to help other authors.  She’s my idol... is that fangirly enough for ya? LOL

-What television shows do you watch the most?
I don’t watch a lot of television these days.  In my downtime I’m too busy trying to read as many books as I can.  Though there is one show we have here in Australia that I’ve hardly ever missed in the whole 27(?) years it’s been on and that’s Home & Away.

-Name one thing in your life that you would like to do that you haven’t done.
Travel overseas.

-What is one thing that people do not know about you?
The ‘embarrassing secret’ that Bianca shares in New Beginnings is actually mine.  I won’t elaborate, you’ll just have to read the book to find out!

Who Wrote That Book Wedneday: Alice C. Hart

The first time I saw Abby Osborne, I knew I had to have her.

I want to own her.

I want to breathe her.

I want to see her smile.

I want to see her cry.

But, more than anything, I want to watch as panic seizes her immobile. I need to see the look on her face when she realizes the man she couldn’t spare a second glance at, is the one who will love her so fiercely that she will never be the same.

Now, until the time comes for our happily ever after, I’ll be forced to endure the hell of witnessing her stumble through the life she doesn’t know she is about to lose.

She. Is. My. Obsession.

***This book is not intended for readers under the age of 18. This book contains adult situations, drug use, smoking, drinking and some hot sex. These characters are not perfect, nor do they try to be.***

Alice is a writer of romance and suspense, Romantic/Suspense, if you will. She also plans to write more of whatever pops into her head. Alice loves to read dark, jacked up, play with your head kind of books in her spare time. She also enjoys books that make her laugh out loud.

Alice enjoys listening to music, hangin' out with her bitches, and dancin' her ass off. When not writing, Alice enjoys watching crap television, the kind where people go to find love and cry over losing a guy who had to go on national television to find a date.

Residing in Toronto, Alice is happily unmarried to her common-law hubs of fourteen years; she has two children, a dog and a cat.

A perfect evening includes watching a horror flick with her hubby and nibbling on something chocolate.
