Review: Bossed by Sloane Howell

He’s the boss. But she’s ready to take charge.

In this provocative and sexy* office romance, a cheeky new hire tempts a hotshot sports agent to mix business with pleasure.

Jenny: Job interviews are a bitch under the best of circumstances, but when your potential boss is the world’s biggest prick, that’s when you should simply walk away. It’s just that I need this job so badly—and I’m mesmerized by Ethan Mason’s piercing gaze. Men like him aren’t supposed to exist in real life. But under the tailored suits and GQ looks, Ethan simmers with barely restrained ambition. And no matter how hard I work to fight the attraction, I’m going to get burned.

Ethan: You don’t become a top agent without learning how to close a deal. I always get what—or who—I want, by staying cool and in command. Then Jenny Jackson walks into my office with her lush curves and “screw you” attitude and blows away my intentions of keeping things professional. All I can think about is exploring the perfect body hidden beneath those conservative clothes or shutting her saucy mouth with one hot kiss. Jenny’s worth breaking the rules over—if I can convince her to break the rules for me.

*By sexy, we mean sexy. Like, 18+ sexy.

As a first time reader of Sloane Howell's work I have to admit I'm impressed. Ok, I'm beyond impressed! Here's the deal, I'm super picky and have found my reading niche of choice... I'm tough and critical and sure, a few pet peeves were intertwined throughout the story line but as an overall experience, I'm SOLD on his brand and can't wait to dig into more sexxxy reads! #ThisBookThough!

To be honest, I haven't read many smutty romances penned by male authors... things like dumb clich├ęs and stereotypes come to play in my mind. I do try to have a very, very, VERY open mind when it comes to trying new things, products and... authors *insert awkward laugh here*. So, after reading and digesting Bossed, the author's gender doesn't matter one bit at all. I guess you could say that I just got schooled by Sloane Howell. A true artist immerses themselves in their work and characters and it really shows in this book!!!

There's so many things I loved about this book!! The vulnerability of Ethan, our sports agent Hero of the book made me downright giddy! So very giddy, I felt as if I was channeling my inner Kelsey(bff to our h) so, very SQUEE worthy! Trust me it'll all make sense after you read this panty incinerating read. Ethan is SQUEE worthy all on his own. His cocky, snide attitude, swagger, and witty dirty mouthed bad boy talk and vibe. Just, well... SQUEEeeeee! He's seriously book boyfriend material. Jenny wasn't the only one who got hot and bothered by him!

Every cocky rich boy needs a challenge, and Jenny Jackson unknowingly was under his skin. Making him itch for more. Insatiable, to the core. He had his eye on a sexy little prize and he'd go through hell to make her his. SQUEE!!! Oh yeah! This story line is all sorts of sizzling hot! Holy. Crap. I seriously can't even right now- you have NO idea! Perseverance was Jenny's game. She wasn't seeking a good time or love, she wanted a better income to provide for her loved ones. Sparks will fly, lust and love floating around their little euphoric cloud 9. Love isn't easy but the heart wants what the heart wants.

Bossed is a fun and sexy read that is laced with realistic challenges, outcomes and unexpected depth. So many emotions were felt throughout making me laugh and at times -almost- shed a tear or two. You certainly can't go wrong by reading this sexy little beast of a book!!

SQUEE!
