Review: Rookie Move by Sarina Bowen

The first novel in a sexy new series featuring the hockey players of the Brooklyn Bruisers and the women who win their hearts—from the USA Today bestselling author of the Ivy Years series.

In high school they were the perfect couple—until the day Georgia left Leo in the cold...

Hockey player Leo Trevi has spent the last six years trying to do two things: get over the girl who broke his heart, and succeed in the NHL. But on the first day he’s called up to the newly franchised Brooklyn Bruisers, Leo gets checked on both sides, first by the team’s coach—who has a long simmering grudge, and then by the Bruisers’ sexy, icy publicist—his former girlfriend Georgia Worthington.

Saying goodbye to Leo was one of the hardest things Georgia ever had to do—and saying hello again isn’t much easier. Georgia is determined to keep their relationship strictly professional, but when a press conference microphone catches Leo declaring his feelings for her, things get really personal, really fast....

5 -Make the Iron Sing- Stars!!!!

Wow. Wow. Wow.

I'm completely smitten and irrevocably in love with Rookie Move! *siiiiiigh* WOW! Cloud nine... seventh heaven-- couldn't come close enough or even begin to explain the euphoric state I'm currently reeling in since finished this one! Sarina Bowen has delivered an epic second chance romance with a 110% hockey plot-line. It's a sports romance junkie's dream come true!

Be prepared to sizzle and swoon, cry and maybe even pout in frustration. Rookie Move has a little bit of everything that I've come to love in a book. The story-line, plot twists, protagonists as well as the secondary characters all add substance and their unique touch and flair to the story. Bowen's writing will certainly keep you on your toes and thoroughly enthralled--page after page, chapter after chapter. It's truly addictive and a stellar start to what is sure to be one crazy amazing series!

Lust. Denial. Sexual tension & enough emotional baggage with the potential to ruin it all.
All. The. Feels.

Yes, Sarina Bowen made -ME- cry!!!

Now the wait for O'Doul's book *pout*

The more I read hockey stories, the more I think I really need to go to a damn hockey game. I think this could really be my sport…as a spectator of course. I am also a sucker for second chance romances so anytime I can devour one I do so when this one popped up on Netgalley I was all over it!

Leo was most definitely a swoon worthy character. He was determined, he was sweet and he was totally and completely in love with Georgia. Georgia was spunky, strong and funny as hell and very much in love with Leo.

The friendship these two had was deep and started out years ago when they were young. They were both one another’s first loves and had a romantic relationship. However when that ended abruptly with no explanation they both decided to move on with their lives and never look back. That is until fate brings them together.

Watching Leo & Georgia fall in love again (even though they never really fell out of love with one another) was enduring. They were very adult about it and there wasn’t a whole lot of drama standing in their way just some private personal stuff that they needed to work through. They were very respectful to one another and I enjoyed that very much. This was a very sweet second chance romance story and I enjoyed reading it.
