Review: Just Friends by Monica Murphy

It’s the end of summer. Just before I start senior year with my two best friends in the whole world. Dustin and Emily are everything to me. We’ve been inseparable since middle school, and when we’re together, nothing can go wrong.

But things aren’t always what they seem. Em’s turned into a drunken mess who parties too much. Dustin and I have hooked up a few times—and now he’s ready to take our relationship to the next level. Yet I’m not sure I want things to change. I’m scared if I take it any further with Dustin, our friendship will be ruined forever. Then there’s Ryan. The new guy. He’s hot. He flirts way too much. And Em has totally set her sights on him.

So when my best friend betrays me in the worst possible way, guess who’s there to help me pick up the pieces of my broken heart? Ryan. But he’s so confusing. Annoying. Sweet. Sexy. I want to trust him, yet he makes it so hard. What I really want is for everything to go back to the way it was before.

Before I found out that best friends make the worst kind of enemies.

Deceit, secrets and tiny hidden truths. All good "qualities" to boast in a true relationship, especially when it comes to your two best friends. *eyeroll* Sit back, hold on and queue the teenage dramatics!!! You're in for one hell of a teenage angstfest of a ride!!

This book drove me insane!!!
This book!
GAH!!!
THIS. BOOK.

I have to say this is the first book wherein I despised every single character.
Every. Single. One. Of. Them. ...except maybe Amanda. I'm still on the fence with that one.
Regardless of my hatred towards these teenage creatures, I couldn't put the book down.

Monica Murphy has penned one hell of a story! Written with such dramatic flair and angst ridden teenage precision, you can't help but be lured in! Just Friends is like reading an episode of Gossip Girl. It's most definitely one of those things you "love to hate and hate to love."

What started as potential for a love triangle, slowly morphed into something a bit more risque!
Oh, to be a teenager again. Said NO ONE everrrrr!

"Life never happens like you believe it will. You think you have it all together, that you'll never deviate from your plan, but it'll happen. Forces beyond your control will come along and BAM, everything changes."he says with a little shrug. "Sometimes it'll be a good change, sometimes it's a bad one. You just gotta roll with the punches."

and that ending...you've got to be kidding me!
I need the next book STAT!!!!

PS- I hope this book drives you all as bat shit crazy as it did me lol
