Review: Unbound & Uncovered Colours of Love books 1&2 by Kathryn Taylor

Grace is young and has led a sheltered life. She hasn't yet taken much of an interest in men. It's only while doing an internship in London, where she meets the alluring Jonathan Huntington, that our sleeping beauty is awoken from her slumber. Jonathan is rich, incredibly attractive, and stems from British royalty - but he is a far cry from Prince Charming. He lures Grace ever deeper into his world of sinister passion, and she is sucked further and further into the maelstrom of her own growing desires. But when Jonathan demands she do the unthinkable to prove her love for him, she realizes just how dangerous her feelings for him are.

Jonathan & Grace…. Where to start with these two.

Grace has just been selected to be an intern and a very prestigious company and she has worked very hard for this opportunity. She is excited to embark on the next chapter in her life but she is also a bit nervous.

Jonathan is the CEO of the company that Grace is coming to intern at. He is the total opposite of Grace in every way possible.

Where she is inexperienced, Jonathan is very experienced.
Where she feels love, Jonathan feels nothing
Where she is a bit shy, Jonathan isn’t afraid to go after what he wants

And he has decided that he wants Grace….but what does that mean for Grace and can she handle Jonathan and what comes along with him?

“Because he isn’t good for me. Because I could lose myself in the darkness that surrounds him.”

This was a very intriguing story. I liked that Grace was young and na├»ve but she still had a very strong presence about her. She could stand up for herself when she needed to. Jonathan is aloof, and very secretive and there is a lot that we don’t get to know about him until….we know it.. and then it draws you to him a little more. Every time I thought I might be losing interest with the story it would suck me right back in. It reminded me of a cross between Fifty Shades of Grey and This Man series which are two of my absolute favorite series. At the end of this book I was eager to get my hands on the next book. I am excited to see what is going to happen to these two characters next and I can’t wait for more of Jonathan’s secrets to be revealed.

She's fallen for him - hook, line, and sinker. Grace knows exactly how dangerous her feelings for Jonathan Huntington are, but her love for him nevertheless grows stronger each day she spends near him. Is he really as indifferent as he seems? Does Jonathan only see her as a willing plaything? When Grace tries to force him into showing his true colors, it leads to disaster ...

When I finished the first book, Colour of Love Unbound I anxiously awaited approval for this book from Netgalley. I couldn’t wait to dive right back into Grace & Jonathan’s love affair again and see what was going to happen next for these two characters.

This time they are playing by Graces rules. How will that go?

It was nice to see a softer side of Jonathan in this book. Don’t get me wrong he was still his usual bossy, arrogant self but he was also more loving and thoughtful.

“Everything is pointless without you.”

“I can’t go on like this. I need you.”

Grace’s character also grew, she was more assertive and sure of herself. She was less timid and spoke up for herself. She was stronger at handling Jonathan and I loved her friendship with Sarah.

Overall, I pretty much enjoyed this second book just as much as I did the first one.
