Review: Exploited by A. Meredith Walters

At first glance, I’m nothing out of the ordinary. I am a daughter. A sister. A friend. When you look at me you won’t see anything that warrants suspicion. I don’t look like a criminal.

My name is Hannah Whalen, but most people know me as freed0mov3rdr1v3, or “Freedom Overdrive”—one of the world’s most prolific and notorious hacktivists. My goal—my purpose—is to shed light on the evil that lurks behind the corporate and government lies we have been force-fed for too long.

My story begins with the best possible intention. Devoting my life to exposing the corrupt. The dishonest. The unethical. For that, they label me a cyber-terrorist. Wanted by the FBI, I’ve always been one step ahead.

Until I fell in love.

Because I’m sleeping with the man who’s hunting me. And he has no idea that I am his prey. Now I have to decide what’s more important: my freedom or my heart.

5 'I needed the lies to remind me of the truth.' Stars

A. Meredith Walters brings her 'A-game in fiction' to the table with Exploited! This jaw dropping, pulse pounding, heart stopping suspenseful romance will have your mind spinning, and leave you gasping for your next breath. It's insanely intense and beyond addictive! A fantastic start to the Zero Day Series, which is sure to obliterate the senses!

I'm thrilled to have the villain be the unsuspected little heroine of the story! It's such a refreshing twist to be lured and drawn in, completely captivated and charmed by the narcissistic bewitching heroine who just so happens to be a very popular cyber criminal in the underground hacker world. She has her reasons, they seem legit... enough. Freedoms's cause is for the greater good, after all.

Exploited follows the twisted and blurred lines of love and necessity through a tangled and complex web of lies and deceit laid down by Hannah Whelan between her and her main interest, Mason Kohler, who just so happens to be the FBI agent assigned to her case at the bureau. Coincidence? I think not! Emotions will soar, and hearts will break in this game of cat and mouse where everyone is two steps ahead of each other and always 1one step behind. Who will win? I HAVE NO IDEA!!

EVERYTHING about this story line has me so ramped up and giddy!! I can't contain myself, it's almost too much. Almost! Straight from the preface I was hooked, absolutely intrigued beyond measure. The tone was set and kept throughout the entire book, an intensity that at times was almost too much!! I couldn't read it fast enough. More, more, MORE! I needed to get to the bottom of everything NOW, well, five minutes ago would have been better for my nerves but OMG!!! I loved every single thing about this book!! Every minute detail and character is pertinent to the overall story.

Exploited is a true roller coaster ride for the emotions and senses through every twist and turn of the plot! I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book!

Review: The Beautiful Game by A. Meredith Walters

Lucas Bradley enjoys many things.
The roar of the crowd.
Scoring a goal.
Being worshipped and adored by a growing legion of rabid, football obsessed fans.
But gaining a reputation as English football's newest bad boy—not so much.

Morgan Carter is a fish out of water.
Having moved from America to the United Kingdom, she had hoped for a great adventure.
Instead she's floundering in a job she doesn't like and a country she doesn't understand.
And she finds herself more than ready to leave the land of hot accents behind.

Until a drunken kiss at the local pub changes everything.

Passions ignite. Tempers flare. And what starts as a temporary distraction turns into something deeper.

Yet sleeping with a man on the cusp of full-blown fame comes with a price—one that Morgan isn't sure she's willing to pay. And Lucas, forced into the spotlight, finds his world turned upside down.

Love is a game.
But are Lucas and Morgan ready to play?
And can they learn the rules before they run out of time?

4 'We kissed like we were drowning.' Stars

Fun, flirty, frisky, and a little bit dirty! A. Meredith Walters whisks her readers away into a whirlwind romance where worlds collide when America takes on England in this fantastic, and addictive opposites attract, modern day sports fairy tale.

It didn't take long to fall head over heels for this sizzling, no holds barred story line! I have to admit I read this one with a shit-eating goofy grin plastered on my face. I mean how could I not?! From the hilarious banter tossed around between characters to the amazing British slang that just wrecked me and had me in fits of laughter. The Beautiful Game was a fantastic read from start to finish.

Morgan Carter has a natural beauty to her, a sparkly aura. She holds herself to a certain level and won't cave, change or chance who she is for anyone, sexy footies be damned. Landing her dream job lands this nerdy IT American in the heart of the UK. Settling in wasn't easy but once she finds her groove, game on! I adore her character, such strength, fire, and passion in her.

Lucas Bradley is the UK's up and coming, sexy AF, bad-boy of sports! This footballer is full of zest for life. His life wasn't always full of cash, with diggers on his tail looking for a good ride *wink* Life for Lucas may seem like one big party but deep down he's a lost soul, in search of his next high on the pitch.

There was no sex in the champagne room LOL No, World's collide in the bathroom of a dank, dirty pub. And as you could say the rest is history! BUT! HOLD UP!! Nothing is THAT easy. Every fairy tale has a villain and good god, this one takes the cake! A WAG and Goal Digger who's looking to step up the proverbial ladder to bigger and better things. She's top shelf level of skag. Look out for this one, her manicured claws will rip you a new one.

I really, really, really liked this book, like, A LOT! The undeniable sexual tension between Morgan and Lucas is off the charts! Their chemistry, attraction, feelings toward one another, just, GAH! A whole lot of sizzle and enough swoon to melt your panties off. Watching this British knight in shining armor chase after his American girl... *le sigh* it was everything! I couldn't set the book down, it had to be devoured! Anxiously awaiting the next installment in the Man of Match series.

In a powerful romance hailed as “heartbreaking, real, and breathtakingly beautiful” by Stacey Lynn, New York Times bestselling author A. Meredith Walters tells the story of a troubled young woman and the unforgettable guy who teaches her to live—and love—to the fullest.

4.5 "Sure" ☆s

"I've always dreamed in butterflies."

"My mother used to tell me they were my guardians, that they looked over me while I slept. That to dream about butterflies was good luck. That I was destined to have a wonderful, amazing life...Pretty words filled with well-intentioned lies."

There's a reason why A. Meredith Walters is one of my favourite,  go to authors. Butterfly Dreams just adds another reason to the list! A story so hauntingly beautiful, yet so heart wrenching that it makes your soul smile while tears stream down your face.

Corin Thompson was slightly difficult to connect with initially. Her morbid fascination with death/dying, to her withdrawn & quirky personality made me a little apprehensive. As we delve deeper into the story-line and her history, my heart shattered into a million pieces for her. There's justification for her erratic behaviour and thoughts, her reasoning started to make sense. Thus, began my adoration of her character.

Convinced that she has a heart condition, Corin starts attending the Mended Heart Support group. Its here she really gets to know my new book boyfriend, Beckett. He's just so darn swoony its almost sickening *wink* Unfortunately my book lover, Beckett, has a legitimate, diagnosed heart condition. Meetings come and go, friendships are formed, barriers and walls are knocked down, then love not so slowly takes over! Squee! It was fate Corin and Beckett met. They truly helped each other survive, get through their daily struggles, provided support and love. They healed each others hearts in a sense. No, wait! They completely healed each other *siiiiigh*

Whatever the theme and direction that A. Meredith Walters' story-lines lead, they evoke such intense emotions, a sense of hope and remind you to live life to the fullest. Embrace every moment! That's exactly what this book did with its message. So powerful, so unforgettable. Once again I was left in tears while finishing another one of her brilliant books.

"The butterflies in my chest took flight. No longer scary, terrifying things, now they only reminded me that I had everything to live for."

"Sure."
