Review: Twisted Palace by Erin Watt

These Royals will ruin you…

From mortal enemies to unexpected allies, two teenagers try to protect everything that matters most.

Ella Harper has met every challenge that life has thrown her way. She’s tough, resilient, and willing to do whatever it takes to defend the people she loves, but the challenge of a long-lost father and a boyfriend whose life is on the line might be too much for even Ella to overcome.

Reed Royal has a quick temper and even faster fists. But his tendency to meet every obstacle with violence has finally caught up with him. If he wants to save himself and the girl he loves, he’ll need to rise above his tortured past and tarnished reputation.

No one believes Ella can survive the Royals. Everyone is sure Reed will destroy them all.
They may be right.

With everything and everyone conspiring to keep them apart, Ella and Reed must find a way to beat the law, save their families, and unravel all the secrets in their Twisted Palace.

4 "So. That was... intense." Stars

The evil, genius, mastermind duo behind Erin Watt have utterly ruined me with 'These Royals', penning one hell of a series that has captivated the hearts of readers worldwide and have made us addicts to their brand of literary crack!! Queens of the cliffhanger, Erin Watt has taken the book world by storm! And gd, I'm loving this storm! Rage on!

"I've run through these last few years with little regard for anyone but myself. I was proud of being an unfeeling asshole. Is this karma?"

No messing around. Twisted Palace picks up exactly where Broken Prince left us hanging... once  again... battered and torn with shattered hearts, gasping for our next breath. Erin Watt takes suspense to a whole new level. The anticipation, uncertainty, and strain throughout this series, especially in Twisted Palace is beyond intense. It's nerve wracking. Just OMG GAAAAAAAH!!!!!!! I swear I've lost years off my life.

"I've gotten a free pass my entire life because I'm a Royal."

Until now, that is. Papa Smurf can't buy Reed's way out of this new hellish reality he now faces. The cards are stacked against him. Seemingly impenetrable. Save yourself or save your family's reputation? Scantily placed clues that will eat at you, chew you up and blindside you when revealed. Sometimes the smallest words and phrases hold the biggest clues *wink* Fear not, there are laugh out loud moments... or maybe I'm just inappropriate under duress... that's yet to be decided.

"If you're my date, you better have brought me an awesome floral arrangement. Someone told me you can tell the size of a guy's dick based on the amount of flowers he buys"

My emotions were all over the place with this doozy! At times I wanted to beat my head off a wall, scream.. just NO NO NO NOOOOOOOO!!!! I guess that's what the 'Royal decree' will do to you-- unleash the frantic within.

F. Me.
Royal teenage drama is unlike any other. Oy vey!
"I don't show weakness. Ever. The only person I've been able to lower my guard around is Ella. That girl has the power to smash through my barriers and actually see me. The real me, and not the cold, callous ass that the rest of the world sees."

Although I'm content with 'The End'
I still have so many questions, thoughts... no way can this be over.

"The Royals are like the apple in the fairy tale. Golden on the outside, but rotten to the core."

Behind us is the tormented and terrible past. In front of us is our unblemished future. I'm not looking back again.

*insert happy sigh here*

Royals, Royals, Royals. You guys just get better and better I swear just when I think you are as bad as can be you go and do something sweet and thoughtful and make me love you all even more than I already did. Twisted Palace was a great ending to the series. Lines were definitely drawn, sides were taken and some shocking secrets were revealed. The Royals, counting Ella of course went from being a group of people that were disconnected from one another, not accepting of others and downright snobby as hell to a happy family of sorts. I really enjoyed seeing Ella get her happily ever after. It turns out that even though the Royal boys didn’t want or like her at first, she was just what they needed to heal them and bring them together again.

I will miss this conniving, scheming little group immensely.

Thank you Erin Watt for giving us these Royals! They have been entertaining as hell, shocking to say the least, corrupt as all get out but in the end they are family and family sticks together NO MATTER WHAT!

“I’m a Royal, baby. I don’t run. I fight”

and fight they will......
