Review: Author Anonymous by E.K Blair

A TRUE STORY told through the voice of New York Times Bestselling author E.K. Blair.

She’s an author.
She’s a mother.
She’s a wife.
She’s a fraud.

A woman marked and bound by her own deceit, this is the astounding tale of how one choice knocked her world from its axis forcing her to battle through a year of scandal and betrayal, blurring the lines between reality and fantasy.

This is an intoxicatingly risqué stand-alone true story tangled in lust, heartbreak, and contrition.

5 'I love you most and more' Stars

'Time is a villain--my villain. Every second passes by painfully, granting me no reprieve as they multiply into minutes-hours-days.'

Oh. My. God!
What did I just read?!
Mind-blowing insanity!

Intrigued from the moment I found out about this book, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. I mean...hello! I'm just as nosy as you are. An author wanting to dish out her deepest, darkest, scandalous secrets to the world... Sign me up! I wasn't sure what to expect as I've never read a book quite like THIS, but...WOW! All the ideas and possibilities floating around in my head were vanilla compared to what is revealed within. I still can't wrap my head around this being a TRUE freaking story!! What the fu...

'You would think a torture like this would come with a warning, instead it disguised itself and lurked in the stygian corners, waiting for it's chance to attack.'

Transfixed from the very first page, this book was like a slow moving train wreck that I couldn't look away from. It's a tale of one woman's deceit, one who is borderline narcissistic at times.  It's intense and addictive AF and will evoke a myriad of emotions and reactions that will blindside you. Author Anonymous is the definition of a literary experience. At times it felt like my soul was bleeding from all the heartbreak, lies and deceit. You're not just reading the pages, you're living and breathing them in all their F'd up glory. Initially I was curious to figure out who Anonymous is, but after reading...somethings are just better left unknown.

As always, EK Blair's brand of intricately woven prose allows the literary darkness to shine through and Holy. Sweet. Hell! it's shining bright throughout Author Anonymous: A True Story.
Her best work to date and a top read of 2016!

'This year has been a slow walk to the grave I knew I would ultimately land in. And here I am, naked and all alone, waiting for someone to shovel the dirt on me.'
