Review: Roots and Wings by M. Mabie

Welcome to Wynne, population 3,401.

No billionaires. No professional athletes. No celebrities.

In this small town, current events are pondered in mirrors at the local salon or around crowded tables at the diner, and there’s a new couple to gossip about. A rough and tumble woman who works in her dad’s garage, not yet ready to spread her wings, shows the new guy in town what it’s like to finally have roots.

It’s your run-of-the-mill, sexy, Astro van driving dentist meets smart-ass, bass fishing tomboy in a story of real-life romance.

Low on drama. High on love.

Pull up a chair and stay a while.

Well to say I'm pleasantly surprised is the understatement of the year!! I prefer to jump right into a book without even reading the blurb... if one of my fav authors has a new release coming up I don't even read the teasers or reviews. I like to go in blind and form my own opinion! That being said after the reading The Wake series I sat down and buckled my self in for a drama filled angsty ride, however I was sorely wrong...

Roots and Wings has no drama, no angst, no real heartbreak it was just a beautifully written cute little feel good kind of story. I absolutely loved Mutt aka Hannah, her say what she thinks, like me or not, attitude really struck a chord in my heart (I may just be the same). Vaughn is just down to earth, sexy, funny guy with a touch of dirty mouth that every woman who reads this book is gonna fall in love with!!!

I didn't realize how bad I needed some good old fashioned romance in my literary life but I'm so happy I read this book!! It just soothed my little black soul!!! As always M. Mabie blew my socks off!!!
