Review: This Is War Baby by K. Webster

My life had a plan. Until he invaded it and stole it all away. My captor took me and I became a pawn.

His strategy changed and he sent me away to WAR, because money is everything in this world.

In my WAR, though, I found peace.

I couldn’t help but find love where I least expected it, with a man who lived a battle every day of his life
…all inside his head.

But then my captor came back for me.
Yet, this time, battle lines had been drawn and I was protected.

So we thought.
Even though my WAR was raging,
my captor would fight to the death.

The good guys always win, right?
Not always.

All’s fair in love and WAR, right?
Not this time.

This is War, Baby is a dark romance. A really dark one. So dark you’re going to wish you had a flashlight to see yourself to the end and someone to hold your hand. Human trafficking, dubious consent, and strong sexual themes that could trigger emotional distress are found in this story. This story is NOT for everyone.

Well let's see, it's been approximately 4 days, 12 hours, 36 minutes and 24 seconds since I finished reading this book and I still can't wrap my head around what I just read. Some books have the ability to make you feel what the characters are feeling and give you a reprieve from real life. Well this book does all that and more, I felt like I was drug through the depths of hell, made better and then drug by my hair back down there again.

I felt everything poor Baylee felt and let me tell you I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. You know that feeling when u feel like your heart and stomach are in your throat and you don't know how much more you can take?? Be prepared for that, then as soon as K Webster makes things better BAM there's that feeling again x 1000!!!

I don't want to give any info on this book away, I just want everyone to go in and read it and love it as much as me. So all I will say is Baylee has more strength and determination in her little finger than most people possess in their entire life. Gabe, well Gabe, I hope Karma gives him everything he deserves and more and then there is War, poor broken War, even broken he stole my heart!

This book keeps your attention from the moment you start it until the moment it ends, and then apparently for weeks after... it is definitely my fav of 2016 so far!!! I can not wait for This is Love Baby!!! K Webster is it done yet ;)

HOLY COW! This book took me way out of my comfort zone. Both of my blog partners told me this was a must read so I looked it up, studied it a bit, read the warning and STILL decided to give it a try. I’m not gonna lie there were times when I was like noooo I can’t read anymore. Even kind of knowing what to expect I was still tongue tied and shocked, kudos to K. Webster for making me feel like that!

This Is War Baby is a story of deep betrayal, lies, loss but most of all LOVE.

It had me on the edge of my seat, reading as fast as I could to see what would happen next. Sometimes I felt like Bayley couldn’t possibly take anymore and me neither for that matter! She was one hell of a strong woman and she wouldn’t give up, she was resilient. What touched me most about this story was how both characters were broken and such an unlikely couple after all that happened but together they mended one another. If that isn’t true love I don’t know what is.

If you have been wanting to read this book but were a little nervous to do so, give it a try. It will end up restoring your faith in love.
